Phi Nguyen

AIA

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Health late 2016, Phi realized she wanted to go after something that she truly loved. In 2018, Phi went back to school to earn her Bachelor of Architecture and found her true calling — architecture. There was a spark of excitement when working on concept models/drawing/sketches, looking at buildings of city life and spaces for inspiration, and figuring the potential behind every structure.

Graduating with her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Central Florida in 2022, she worked at an entry level firm and gained hands-on experience in remodeling projects for grocery, retail, and restaurants — including Walmart, Wawa, Miller Ale House, Panda Express, and McDonald’s. After 3 years' experience working in these project types, Phi joined MILES Architecture Group, where she is exploring hospitality projects. Under the guidance of a Senior Project Architect, she has grown into her current role as a Project Coordinator — getting involved with interior design details, learning through client interactions, and understanding what it takes to bring a vision to life.

Phi is progressing toward licensing, logging her NCARB hours while continuing to learn and grow in the field. Phi plans to return to school for a Master of Architecture to become well rounded Licensed Architect.

Phi’s motivation on each project is to keep learning — whether it's through new challenges, opportunities, or working closely with architects, engineers, designers, and clients. She listens, adapts, is consistent, and puts forth an effort to improve every day, ready to solve problems allowing the project to move forward. For any aspects, every place has a soul to it — Peter Zumthor once said, “Once you experience a building, when it gets to you, it sticks in your memory and your feelings.” That’s the kind of design she brings to each project — with curiosity, openness, and care for the experience we’re creating.

In her my leisure time, Phi likes to take walks on nature trails to get out of her headspace. She also loves spending quality time with family, friends and loved ones. Her love of traveling allows her to explore different cultures, experience new environments, and see what the world has to offer.
